Happy Friday & Happy Valentine's Day!
Today is Valentine's Day, so I'd like to introduce you to my love -- the all-black outfit.
I used to think all-black is boring and lazy. The worst thing is that it made me look ten years older! But, strangely, it looks so chic on celebrities and fashionistas... Sadly, I came to the conclusion that it's just not my thing. However, black is so mysterious and attractive, I found myself failing to resist its seduction. Fortunately, I eventually found one of the secrets of looking good in all-black -- mixing textures! The beauty of mixing textures for an all-black outfit is that you don't need to worry about creating an overly busy ensemble. In today's outfit, I blended leather, wool, cotton, and sheer.
Black has the magic of making people look slim; to amplify the effect, I added a leather belt to define my waist. When I look at myself in the mirror, I seriously cannot believe my eyes: I look so tall!!!
Sometimes all-black might feel a little bit too heavy, so here I chose a sheer maxi for an airy effect.
Adding statement accessories to an all-black outfit is another trick. Here I picked a pair of golden earrings. Since I have a warm skin tone, golden colors work well for me. For those of you who have a cooler skin tone, silver will look great!
Thank you so much for reading! Happy V-Day :)
